Downstairs, we have floor heating. We do not have central heating and no gas in our house: our warm water comes from stadsverwarming in Utrecht. We also have airconditioning units in the living room and the master bedroom. They are operated via remote control. To block the evening sun on warm days, we also have a sunshade which extends electronically (again, via remote control).
Adjusting the temperature downstairs
We have a simple thermostat which indicates the current temperature. To adjust the temperature, simply spin the ring around the body of the thermostat. The floor heating will activate automatically when needed.
Airconditioning
Downstairs and in the master bedroom we have airconditioning units for the very warm days. They are straightforward to operate with a standard remote control.
Sunshade / awning
The sunshade is controlled via the remote control in the image here. The up button closes the awning, and the down button extends it.
